A Motorcycle First Aid Course has been launched by Jalee First Aid Training covering situations and first aid items that may be more relevant for bikers. The course is targeted with helping you to assist in an incident that may have involved a motorcycle. We all hope to not be involved in an accident and also that we not be with another biker that is involved in an accident but this is not always in out control. This motorcycle first aid course covers the main areas that all bikers could benefit from knowing about from how to remove a motorcycle helmet in an emergency situation (as we know the default rule is do not remove a helmet and wait for the professionals) but if the rider was unable to breath then then remiving the helmet is required and so here you can learn a technique to help make that a safer process.

We all believe that we know some first aid and have been on a course sometime often but first aid information changes regularly as we learn more about the body and better processes in order be safe. The motorcycle first aid course syllabus is :
- Road Traffic Collission Scene Management
- Removing a Crash Helmet
- Dealing with Motorcyclists Clothing
- Basic Life Support
- Blood Loss (including internal bleeding)
- Shock
- Head Injuries
- Fractures and Spinal Injuries
- Care and communication
This course is a 4 hour course run by the HSE first aid training company Jalee First Aid and priced at only £38.50 with the instructor also being a keen motorcyclist. This is priced if the course (6 student minimum) is in Somerset, Bristol, Devon and Dorset. However if you are outside of this area then get in contact with Jalee First Aid as they are willing to travel further afield although prices will vary.
We at allmotorcyclestuff.com think this would be an excellent course for ALL bikers and so would be ideal for biker groups of all types including IAM and ROSPA as well as even possibly becoming a standard part of a motorcycle training course! Contact those at Jalee First Aid for more information and to book up a course.
